“Toss Out that Old Stakeholder Review Process Replace your Traditional Review Process with a User Centered Review Process
IA Summit Presentation 2010

This is presentation about how to ground large web design projects in user feedback and made the users the ultimate stakeholders. It covers strategies for replacing traditional stakeholder review with a user centered review process, using the following tactics:
* Gathering business goals upfront from key decision makers
* Actively engaging decision makers in user research, by having everyone watch usability testing
* Using fast iterative design cycles to test out different design solutions to usability problems

UCLA Informatics Wiki: Extreme Maker Edition“
IA Summit Poster Presentation, 2007

This was a poster presentation I have with Alessandra Brophy, Monique Escamilla, Grace Lau illustrating how we created the UCLA Informatics Wiki for the School of Information Studies at UCLA. Here is a brief description from the conference program: “With the intent of clarifying the definition of Informatics for themselves and fellow students, four graduate students developed an informatics wiki to facilitate collaboration, democratic contribution, and interactivity to define what Informatics means for the school of Information Studies. We conducted a usability study made up of student and professional members of the IA community to assess the navigational methods employed in our wiki.”
